Tulips Festival *NEW FOR 2026*

Spring starts here at Von Thun Farms in Washington, NJ! Visit mid-April through early May (it’s a short season – don’t miss out!) and stroll through our hundreds of thousands of tulips we’ve planted for you to enjoy this season. We’ll have some of our signature photo-ops available as well as some new ones we’ve curated just for this new spring experience! Weekend visitors can also enjoy food trucks, our all-ages Activity Area, and a hayride tour of the farm.

Pets, including Emotional Support Animals, are NOT permitted at either of our farm locations. Service animals covered by the ADA will be allowed entry.

Plan Your Visit for Tulip Season

Nothing says spring like the beauty of a wide open tulip field! Tulips symbolize rebirth – which is why its especially appropriate that they bloom at the start of spring which is, for many, a new beginning following winter. While you’re visiting, you can wander the tulip field, visit our farm animals, shop our farm market, and take as many photos as you’d like! We have more than a dozen unique photo ops to make your experience complete.

Hours: Daily, 10 am – 5 pm
Tickets: Online tickets to visit the farm are encouraged and available here (kids are free ’till they’re 3!)

Tulip Festivals

Our Tulip Festivals are guaranteed to be the highlight of your spring! Stay for a few hours or the whole day – there’s lots to do and see! We’ve recruited an amazing line-up of food trucks and our Beer Barn ft. Invertase Brewing will be open. Our one-price admission will grant you access to our u-pick tulip field, all-ages Activity Area, and barnyard animals. Our farm market will also be open and fully stocked with all your farm staples (jams, jellies, beef, etc.)

Photography Policies

Our farm is a special place, and we thoroughly encourage our visitors to make memories and take photos! Bring your camera and  click away at the spectacular views, thousands of tulips and our many photo ops. And please, no tripods as they tend to block the pathways while in use.

If you are a professional photographer, please email emma@vonthunfarms.com to inquire about available dates/times for hosting family or mini sessions.

Good to know before visiting our farm…

• Pets, including Emotional Support Animals, are NOT permitted at either of our farm. Service animals covered by the ADA will be allowed entry.
• Wear a hat, sunscreen, and closed toe shoes. The field can be uneven in spots, and the trail is dirt.
• Strollers are allowed, but may be tough to push in spots.
• Please allow a minimum of 30 minutes to get to and through our field. (Photo ops will add time additional!)
• Our farm market is open daily, 10 am – 6 pm.
• Tulips are NOT offered at our South Brunswick location.

• Tulips are an agricultural crop and are therefore subject to blooming and growing condition variables as well as the weather. Tulip dates that are listed are anticipated and approximate, as we cannot guarantee when the tulips will start or end blooming. Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram for our farm updates. U-pick tulips is an outdoor event, and is therefore held weather permitting.
• Should a complete crop failure arise or natural disaster occur, tickets will be exchanged for Von Thun Farms Fall Festival tickets OR a Von Thun Farms upcoming event OR for a Von Thun Farms gift card. NO cash refunds will be given.
