Reba McEntire Corn Maze

Von Thun’s Farms and 40+ Farms Nationwide Pay Tribute to Reba McEntire With Corn Mazes Honoring the Queen of Country Music

In celebration of the October release of Reba McEntire’s upcoming lifestyle book Not That Fancy: Simple Lessons on Living, Loving, Eating, and Dusting Off Your Boots and companion music album Not That Fancy, we have designed a country music corn maze honoring long-time, country music legend Reba McEntire. The 5+ acre mazes are scheduled to open Saturday, September 16th!

We are two of 40+ farms featuring Reba in their corn maze this year. Collectively, the farms—which are designed by The MAiZE Inc. in 24 states across the U.S.—will reach more than a million visitors during the fall season.

“While l admit being in a corn maze is one of the more unique things I’ve ever been invited to be a part of, I couldn’t be more excited to be involved with some of the things that matter most to me – farming, family, and friends,” said McEntire. “Growing up on a ranch in Oklahoma, I know how important agriculture is and I love being involved with something that brings more people out to farms across the country for good wholesome fun!”

Along with getting lost in the maze, guests will have the opportunity to enter to win a grand prize trip to Nashville for a one-night-only special event“Not That Fancy: An Evening with Reba & Friends” set for November 5th at Nashville’s iconic Ryman Auditorium. The prize will also include a two-night stay at a local Nashville hotel.

“This is an exciting time to be working with Reba and we’re thrilled to honor her in our maze design this year,” said Bob Von Thun. “Our now-grown kids grew up going to country concerts from a young age and it’s exciting to be able to share our love of country music with our guests this season.”

The first phase of the maze is short and perfect for young guests or those with limited walking ability. It tells the story of Spookley and how his friends helped him overcome being the only square pumpkin in a school of regular pumpkins. The second phase is nearly five acres with lots of twists and turns guaranteed to keep maze-goers on their toes. While navigating the maze, there are ten stops along the way where guests can answer a theme question and get a clue as to where to turn next. There’s also fun, interactive games like Farm Scene Investigator (FSI) or Maize-Opoly that guests can play, depending on which of our farm locations they’re visiting, as they go through the maze.

The corn mazes at Von Thun’s open for the season on Saturday, September 16th in conjunction with the farm’s Fall Festival Weekends and is open daily, including Columbus Day, through Halloween. The corn maze, along with hayrides, access to the apple orchard and pumpkin patch, and more than 20 games and attractions suitable for all ages is included with all general admission tickets. Tickets can be purchased online for both our South Brunswick and Washington locations to save guests time when they arrive at the farm.
